Four Yavapai College students selected for All-Arizona Academic Team

Qualify for full tuition scholarships to continue their studies at any Arizona state university

It was announced at the March 1, 2016 Governing Board meeting that four Yavapai College students have been selected for the All-Arizona Academic Team. They are:  Venessa Cicchini and Thomas Dunbar from the Verde Valley Campus and Zara Glidden and Shalom Eis from the Prescott Campus.  Every Arizona student on any of the All-Arizona/All-USA Academic Team is awarded a two-year scholarship to the student’s choice of one of our three state universities: ASU, U of A, and NAU.

A student applying for this award must complete an application package, which typically includes demographic data, GPA, essays on a designated topics and letters of recommendation, as well as whatever else the national committee has designated as competition requirements. Sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, the American Association of Community Colleges and USA Today, the All-USA Team’s national committee also establishes guidelines for criteria by which applications will be evaluated.   Students selected this year had at least a 3.8 grade point average.
