YAVAPAI COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD WILL HOLD A TWO-DAY RETREAT FEBRUARY 26-27

Retreat scheduled to run from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. each Friday and Saturday; may be viewed on zoom

The Yavapai Community College District Governing Board will hold a two-day retreat on Friday and Saturday, February 26-27.  The retreat begins at 9:00 a.m. each day and is scheduled to conclude at 4:00 p.m. 

The retreat will be held on zoom. The public may view the retreat proceedings by going to the Community College YouTube website, which is https://www.youtube.com/user/YavapaiCollege.

Unlike regular Governing Board meetings, there will not be an opportunity for the community to the speak to the Board at an open call.

Members of the public may provide comments to the Board during Open Call to the Public via Zoom but must first register by 5 p.m. Monday, November 16

The Yavapai Community College District Governing Board will hold a general meeting on zoom on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 beginning at 1:00 p.m.   For the November Board Meeting, members of the public may provide comments to the Board during Open Call to the Public via Zoom. In order to participate, you will need to register in advance of the Board Meeting.

For those wishing to address the Governing Board, registration will close at Monday, November 16, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. As with in-person comments, each member of the public will be limited to three (3) minutes. You will also need to complete the Yavapai College District Governing Board Request to Speak – OPEN CALL electronic form.

The public may view the proceedings on zoom by going to https://www.youtube.com/user/YavapaiCollege. At the YouTube site, look around a bit and you should see a box on the left of the screen where  the meeting will appear at 1 p.m.   You must click in that box to see and hear the meeting.

At the Youtube site, look around a bit and you should see a box on the left of the screen where  the meeting will appear at 1 p.m.   You must click in that box at 1 p.m. to see and hear the meeting. There is no open call for the public to voice its views to the Governing Board.

On the agenda for discussion and possible decision is the question of locating a Verde Valley Skilled Trade Center.  The discussion of that potential project will be led by Vice President Clint Ewell.

This will also be the first meeting for Mr. Mitch Padilla, the new representative from District #5.  He will take the seat left vacant  by Mr. Steve Irwin who decided  to run for Yavapai County Supervisor.  Mr. Irwin lost in the primary election earlier this year.

Yavapai Community College District Governing Board will hold a public meeting,  via zoom, on July 28, 2020 at 2.00 p.m.

 Open Call will not be included on July’s meeting agenda.

The College has provided a link that will take you to a site where after looking around a bit, you should see a box with the meeting appearing in it.  You will have to click in that box to see the meeting.

YAVAPAI COMMUNITY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES REGULAR BOARD MEETING FOR TUES, JULY 28, 2020, 2:00 P.M.

Although not announced yet, most likely to be online zoom meeting

The Yavapai Community College has announced it will hold a regular District Governing Board meeting on July 20, 2020 at 2 p.m.

Although not yet announced, it is likely that this will be a zoom meeting.  The College will notify citizens if a zoom meeting replaces the regular meeting that would usually be held on the Prescott Campus at the Rock House.

GOVERNING BOARD TO HOLD ANNUAL PUBLIC PROPOSED BUDGET MEETING TUESDAY, MAY 12 AT 1 P.M. ON ZOOM; GENERAL MEETING TO FOLLOW PUBLIC MEETING; RESIDENTS MAY REGISTER ON WEB SITE TO SPEAK AT BUDGET MEETING; THIS IS LAST REGULAR MEETING UNTIL AUGUST

Meetings will be held online on the Yavapai College Youtube channel

The Yavapai Community College District Governing Board will hold its annual proposed budget meeting and monthly general meeting on Tuesday, May 12 beginning at 1 p.m.  The Board members will be using the online program “Zoom” from their home or business to participate.  Members of the public may view the Board proceeding on a link provided by the College to its Youtube channel from its agenda web page.

The first order of business will be a public meeting on the 2020-2021 budget.  Persons interested in addressing the Board on the budget may do so from their computer or other device by registering prior to the Board meeting on the Governing Board web site.

GOVERNING BOARD TO HOLD MEETINGS BY VIDEO CONFERENCING ON ZOOM

Next meeting Monday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m.; community will be provided zoom link to meeting

Yavapai Community College District Governing Board members will hold their next monthly meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. via video conferencing.   The meeting will be held on Zoom, a remote conferencing service that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.  A link to Zoom will be provided by the Governing Board at its cite, https://www.yc.edu/v6/district-governing-board/meetings.html.

The community may click on zoom and observe the entire meeting.

GOVERNING BOARD TO DISCUSS POTENTIAL FOR HOTEL AT SEDONA CENTER DURING TUESDAY’S PUBLIC MEETING IN SEDONA

Regular meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the Sedona Center on Tues, March 3, 2020, Room 34

The Yavapai Community College District Governing Board will hold its monthly General Public Meeting on Tuesday,  March 3,  1:00 P.M. The meeting will be held at the Sedona Center, Room 34.  Among topics listed on the agenda is one involving the potential for a hotel being constructed on College land at the Sedona Center.  (The Board may also discuss the potential for a hotel on Community College land on the Verde Valley Campus.)  You may view the detailed hotel report to the College in the agenda by clicking here.

The public may address the Board  at the beginning of the  meeting, according to the agenda published by the College. This is an opportunity for residents of Yavapai County to provide their input on any issue within the jurisdiction of the Yavapai College District Governing Board. Normally, a person is limited to speaking for three minutes.

Members of the Governing Board are not supposed to discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an Open Call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action. A citizen wishing to address the Board should complete a “Request to Speak” form, and give it to the Recording Secretary and be prepared to limit his or her remarks to the designated time (usually three minutes).

Under Arizona law, the public has a right to attend, listen, tape record or videotape these meetings. The public may not disrupt, but may speak during the call to the public at the beginning of this meeting if the call is on the agenda. See Ariz. Att’y Gen. Op. No. I78-001.

The Yavapai Community College Governing Board will hold a budget meeting Tuesday, January 21 beginning at 9 a.m.  The meeting will be held in the Rock House on the Prescott Campus.  The public may attend.

The Governing Board will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, January 21  beginning at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Rock House on the Prescott Campus.
