County Superintendent to select person for seat
Superintendent Tim Carter and a committee of five (5) residents who live within District 3, will interview the candidates for the District #3 seat on the Yavapai College Governing Board that was vacated in December by Al Fildardo in Cottonwood on December 7th.
The committee was appointed by Mr. Carter and are made up of a Yavapai College student, a Yavapai College Instructor, a taxpayer, a business person, and a community member. The committee will make recommendations to Superintendent Carter about the advantages and disadvantages of each candidate.
The County Superintendent will then speak individually with each seated Yavapai College Governing Board Member and with College Administration, seeking their input on the candidates.
Superintendent Carter would appreciate public involvement in this appointment. He invites residents of Yavapai College and specifically of District 3 to contact him directly by email at [email protected], by fax at 928-771-3329, or by phone or text at 928.925-6560.
He is also willing to meet and speak individually with residents face to face. He has set aside time on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Yavapai County Building, 2nd floor, Mingus Room, 10 S. 6th Street, Cottonwood, Az. 86326, to meet with any member of the community that would like to provide feedback to him about the candidates.
The appointment should be announced to the public by Monday, December 12th
